NAHSE CT Education Scholarship
Applications for the 2026 NAHSE CT Education Scholarship are now open for submission!
ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP: The NAHSE CT Education Scholarship was developed to promote the advancement of Black healthcare leaders across the state of Connecticut, defray costs of higher education, and reduce financial barriers. A scholarship of $3,000 will be awarded to two graduate students this year who meet the eligibility requirements. In addition to the scholarship, the recipients will receive one year of NAHSE membership and will be be provided registration to the 2026 NAHSE Educational Conference. The scholarship recipient will be paired with a Connecticut based executive leader for mentoring for one year.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicant must have a permanent address in Connecticut or attend graduate school in Connecticut
Applicant must be enrolled during the 2026-2027 academic year in a healthcare administration, public health, or equivalent program, as verified by a transcript, acceptance letter or other enrollment verification
Applicant’s grade point average (GPA) must be at least a 3.0 from any graduate courses taken

Current resume that includes education, employment history, awards, and extracurricular activities
One page personal statement (single spaced, 12 point font) discussing your interest in healthcare, a major healthcare issue facing communities of color and your proposed solution to that issue
